Salus is an open source Responsible AI Toolkit, designed to help enterprises innovate responsibly by addressing the challenges and risks associated with ethical AI adoption.

Donated to the Linux Foundation by member organization Infosys, Salus provides advanced defensive guardrails to detect and mitigate AI-related risks such as privacy breaches, security attacks, biased outputs, sensitive data leaks, deepfakes, and hallucinations. It enhances AI model transparency by offering explainability features while maintaining performance and user experience.

Salus is fully customizable and integrates seamlessly across cloud and on-premise environments, supporting diverse AI models and agentic AI systems. By making this toolkit open source, Infosys and the Linux Foundation are fostering collaboration, transparency, and accessibility, enabling organizations worldwide to adopt and deploy responsible AI with greater confidence.
